Our Story
The story of Los Lagos Hotel, Spa & Resort began with the astonishing awakening of the Arenal Volcano in 1968. The Cedeño Villegas family transformed this environment into a garden endowed with air, fire, and water, marking the beginning of ecotourism in La Fortuna de San Carlos, Costa Rica.
Currently with 8 pools, including 5 thermal ones, 125 rooms, an international restaurant, souvenir shop, bar, and tours, our resort offers an unforgettable experience.
From its inception in 1984 as a space for spiritual retreats to its evolution into a complete tourist complex, Los Lagos Hotel, Spa & Resort has grown in harmony with the surrounding beauty. Over the years, we have contributed to the community and national sports, standing out as the most complete and serene destination in the Arenal Volcano area.
